Place the cheese in a suitably sized lightly buttered earthenware dish. Pour the London Gold, along with the garlic, chives and seasoning over the cheese.
Arrange the nuts on top of the cheese and bake in a moderately hot oven for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is cooked.
Glaze under the grill if additional color is required. Serve with hot crusty French bread and salad.
